201 Ellicott Street Project

Ciminelli Real Estate Corporation’s 201 Ellicott project, located in the core of Downtown Buffalo, includes affordable apartments and a much-anticipated food market.  The residential building will reach a height of 5 stories along Ellicott Street and 7 stories along Oak Street, and will include 131 one-bedroom units and 70 two-bedroom units. Braymiller Market will be located at the corner of Ellicott and Clinton Streets, and will offer fresh foods in a market setting and support local restaurants and commercial kitchens with a robust wholesale operation. Residents will also have access to a variety of comfortable and enjoyable outdoor spaces. As the city’s first Mobility Hub in a private development, 201 Ellicott is purposely designed to embrace use of the local transit options including shared vehicles, public transit and bicycling/walking. 

The West End

The West End development is under construction on the last City of Buffalo owned available parcel in Buffalo’s Waterfront Village.  As the developer for the highly desirable parcel, Ciminelli is working to transform the site, building 20 upscale, waterfront townhomes creating a dense, urban village setting, that will complement and support the surrounding developments.  This true urban, residential, waterfront neighborhood with walkable and convenient neighborhood amenities, ultimately satisfies the goal of the City and the Buffalo Urban Development Agency: completing the Waterfront Village development.

As the Vice President of Development and Planning; Denise oversees day-to-day operations of the development team while spearheading several project initiatives for Ciminelli, which currently includes the 201 Ellicott project.  Denise is a licensed architect in New York State, she earned her undergraduate degrees from SUNY at Buffalo, and holds a Master of Architecture degree from University of Pennsylvania. She is a LEED accredited professional with specialty in Building Design and Construction. She is on the board of directors for Buffalo Architecture Foundation, Inc and a member of the Urban Land Institute. Buffalo's Business First has named her one of WNY's 100 Most Powerful Women for 5 consecutive years, 2016-2020.


Erik Wagner
Development Manager

Erik joined the Ciminelli Real Estate Corporation development team as Development Manager in 2021 to manage all aspects of the development process from site selection, entitlements and pre-construction project design management to tenant move-in, successfully completing delivery of development projects.  Mr. Wagner was most recently Senior Estimator and Project Manager for Delaware North Companies and prior, RP Oak Hill Building Company.  His decades of development experience and proficiency in real estate development processes is based on success in these roles, managing all aspects of construction projects, developing capital project estimates, managing pre-construction services and consulting executive management on cost and risk associated with acquisitions across a diverse, national footprint.
